The streets forming the actual race circuit are completely closed to regular vehicle traffic:
Enterprise Boulevard East (From Main Street Unionville to west of the GO tracks)
Unionville Gate (From Kennedy Road to Main Street Unionville)
Kennedy Road South (Fully blocked between Unionville Gate and YMCA Boulevard)
University Boulevard
YMCA Boulevard
🚗 Heavy Traffic & Bottleneck Zones
If you do not need to be in these areas, stay far away, as lanes are heavily modified and traffic will be crawling:
Main Street Unionville: Expect severe spillover delays from the surrounding track closures.
Warden Avenue & Highway 7: These will act as the primary detour routes for drivers trying to bypass the closed sections of Enterprise Blvd, meaning they will be heavily congested.
Unionville GO Station Area: The station parking lot and access roads are heavily impacted by the event infrastructure (including the Pit Lane Grandstand).
💡 Commuter Tips
Taking the GO? If you are heading to the area or trying to use the Unionville GO Station, give yourself plenty of extra travel time.
Driving past Markham? If you just need to pass through the region east-west, use Steeles Avenue East or stick strictly to the Highway 407 or Highway 401 further south to completely bypass the Markham Centre bottleneck.
